A Pai De Nom 9/2, 2pts win
This is a mightily competitive affair to open the November meeting but it could be that Dan Skelton's A Pai De Nom is a bit of a handicap blot off a mark of 116. The 5 year old got close to the classy Sober Glory on debut in a bumper at Chepstow before faltering at Sandown in March. It was heavy ground that day and could be forgiven that. He looked to improve for hurdling when winning at Newton Abbott in the autumn from a subsequent winner and although beaten on his last start, he was shouldering a penalty and the winner looks a fair prospect himself. The scopey son of Passing Glance looks like he improve for coming to a more open track and is mightily unexposed.
