Hopefully Sandown survives the inspection as last year's fixture was also abandoned. If it does go ahead we have the Veteran's Chase Final to look forward to.

I quite like both of these so will back them both at the odds. Copperhead looks like he will probably go off favourite but I wasn't overly sure he was in love with the track when second to Certainly Red here earlier in the season. Eldorado Allen finished 4th in the 2023 Coral Gold Cup at Newbury from a 5 pound higher mark and has shown real signs in 2 runs this season to suggest he still has plenty of enthusiasm for the game. He ran well over an inadequate trip at Cheltenham last time out and I'm sure, like his stablemate, that this has been the plan all along. Sam Brown won this race last year when it was run at Warwick and finished the season with a good 6th place in the Bet365 Gold Cup here. He ran a stormer on seasonal debut to finish 3rd in the Charlie Hall before finding the Coral Gold Cup too much a month later. He's been aimed here since and with Chad Bament claiming 10 pounds (won for the trainer here already this season) he should be putting up a big effort for a repeat.
