Lets get this week off to a good start at Leicester.

Lazy Sunday 5/1, 1pt each-way (4 places)
This is an open handicap chase with a decent field and most bookies are paying 4 places. Camulus is respected but it is a bit of a worry that he's not really gone through with his efforts so far in his chasing career. If he puts it all together he definitely is up to winning from his mark. I fancy Lazy Sunday at slightly bigger odds though. His trainer only has a couple of horses and it's a while since one of them won but his 11 year old mare Lazy Sunday has been a credit to him over the years. She is a 3 time winner and comes into this race off the back of a 3rd and 2nd place from her 2 starts so far this season. She's in as good a form as she has been since winning 3 on the spin in early 2023. But what I think will prove a good move is this slight drop in trip as she has looked like the winner in the home straight the last twice over 3 miles before just fading close home. She's dropped 2 furlongs in trip here and she's also running on a right handed track which could also be a good move as she had a tendency to jump to her right at Lingfield last time out. Jockey Michael Nolan comes to Leicester for his only ride on her and she's surely in with a good chance of adding to her tally.
