The selection here runs off the same mark as when defeated by just a head over course and distance 10 days ago. This looks an easier race and it's unlikely he will have to come from quite as far back. That run came after a 78 day break and there must be a decent chance that this dual course and distance winner will strip at least a little bit fitter here.

The Spotlight Kid 6/1, 1pt each-way (3 places)
H Key Lails won last time out over course and distance however, he is up 4 pounds here and drawn out in stall 10 which will make life hard. He likes to get to the front so in attempt to cross over this race could be run at a decent clip and that would suit The Spotlight Kid. Dean Ivory's 6 year old has been in great form of late, winning twice and finishing a running on 3rd last time out. He's 7 pounds higher than when winning 2 starts ago but has defied higher marks in the past and his running style should suit this track. Luke Morris gets a good tune out of him and rides again here.
